Dahlia's are one of my favourite flowers despite the fact they're constantly under slug attack. After reading your post I'm now looking forward to my own retirement in forty years time. Although, trendy of Covent Garden, might not quite be me. :) James.

i've got two sheds, if you want one.
the snag is, you have to take all the contents as well.
i'm thinking i might need another one - perhaps i could go for multi-storey sheds to save space?!

Well done - keep at it. I got addicted to Sudoku before I became a blog addict. In both cases my friends and relations couldn't see the attraction. Either way I'm keeping my brain active and hopefully alzheimers at bay. My mum is in her mid eighties and keeps her brain active with crossword puzzles whilst her two younger sisters both showed early onset of alzheimers - coincidence perhaps but makes you think!

Yes, I did my first marmalade the other day. Buy a sugar thermometer, if you have trouble spotting when it is about to set, but in fact if you are stirring it all the time on the final boiling, you will feel when it is about to go...

And it is so much better than that commercial muck!

I'm glad that you enjoyed your trip to Hampstead Heath, but not surprised that you didn't get a Hello from anyone. I wonder if the locals even acknowledge each other? as strangers just visiting, you would have no chance. You should "do" Yorkshire on the cheap, it's much friendlier :)
